Istanbul Public-Private Partnership Center of Excellence's Consultancy Team has given a three-day executive training program on public-private partnerships (PPPs) mainly for the governmental entities. The training took place in Riyadh, Kingdom of Saudi Arabia, between May 23-24, 2017. Additionally a Health Sector PSP Workshop was held on May, 25.

PPPs have emerged as critical tools in the design, construction, finance, operation, and maintenance of infrastructure facilities. They are used in a wide range of economic sectors and countries.

The new vision of KSA 2030, which is based on privatization, and enhancement of PPP will bring in new and more diverse revenues for the Saudi government. This will further enhance the financial resources and economic stability, which will be reinvested for long-term impact for KSA.

It is mentioned that in National Transformation Program 2020 and Saudi Arabia’s Vision 2030 PPP will play a huge role. “Development of further sophistication of investment vehicles; particularly PPP will be one of crucial one of among these tools.”

This Training Program was focused on enhancing the participants knowledge on PPPs on an executive level.

Participants learned from case-study examples of both successful and unsuccessful PPPs. They also formed new contacts, connections and collaborations with other motivated participants through shared sessions and networking opportunities.

The workshop focused on present global best practices on using Privatization and PPP models in the Health Sector.
